Did everyone have a great time at Chains and Grains East?!? Well get ready to do it again because on September 24th Chains and Grains West is coming back to Johnson Farms! (228 Johnson Rd, Conowingo, MD).

The tournament itself is the same as years past, but if you are unfamiliar here is the rundown. One round of disc golf (18 holes). After completing your round the beer festival/Homebrew Competition starts. All players (21 and older) are able to walk around and try all the homebrew that has been entered and vote for their favorite. Once the round scores are calculated the winners are announced. There will be a bunch of prizes for winners and there will also be a bunch of prizes for CTP’s. We will probably have some other disc golf oriented games going on during the beer tasting.

All players will receive a premium tournament stamped disc and a custom tournament glass for the beer tasting.

There will be live music.

If you are interested in making beer for the tournament (even if you don’t have experience) send me an email gnewswanger@gmail.com. There are 2 ways to enter the homebrew competition. You can bring some beer to serve the crowd to be voted on, or you can just enter a few bottles. If you bring enough beer to serve to the crowd then you will receive a discount on your entrance into the disc golf tournament. If you bring enough beer to share you have a chance to win both the crowd vote and Judges vote. If you just enter a few bottles you only have a chance to win the judges vote. Any style of beer will be excepted.
